Providing editing, writing, and consulting services to trade and educational publishers and independent authors on a variety of works for publication, presentation, and/or distribution. Areas of specialization include (but are not limited to) academic editing; health, sports, and fitness; illustrated juvenile nonfiction; supplemental K-6 classroom materials; cookbooks; animal behavior and training; and Americanizing UK texts.

Editorial Director
Responsible for the overall management and strategic growth of the editorial department, including managing four full-time, in-house editors and all freelance editors and authors. Researched and developed new product ideas to establish the company's presence in critical new publishing areas (especially ESL/ELL, Spanish, and products suitable for the trade market). Created and standardized all editorial processes and procedures, and trained staff in same. Wrote catalog copy for all editorial products, and edited nearly all print and online copy generated across the company. Worked directly with domestic and international vendors. Developed and adhered to the department's annual budget and project-specific budgets. Increased the editorial department's revenue by 300% in less than three years.
